THERE IS SO MUCH POLITICAL TURMOIL GOING ON IN PAKISTAN THAT NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT. PROTESTERS ARE STANDING UP AGAINST THE CORRUPT GOVERNMENT AND THE POLICE ARE ATTACKING THEM WITH TEAR GAS AND PLASTIC BULLETS. ITS LITERALLY A LARGE SCALE FERGUSON AND THE MEDIA IS PAYING NO ATTENTION TO IT
They’re not plastic bullets, theyre steel bullets. The system is so messed up, so so messed up.
Steel bullets?!?! This just makes me that much angrier. Especially considering the police are targeting women and CHILDREN as well
David Yates’ most vivid memory of Emma is watching her suddenly let go of her steely professionalism and for once just be young and free. They were filming a death scene from Hallows Part 2 on a freezing-cold beach in Wales. The actors were miserable, especially Emma, who hates the cold and dislikes getting wet even more. But out of nowhere, he recalls, “she ran into the icy water and stood there, holding herself against the waves with her arms outstretched, just laughing.” In that brief moment he got a sense of what it must be like to have a multibillion-dollar industry dependent on your every move and be only nineteen years old. - Vogue, July 2011
I’ve been following the shit that’s going on in Pakistan for the past month-ish and it shocks me that nowhere on tumblr have I seen a single damn post on it. Not one. Not even now that rioting has started- it’s the same shit that happened in Ferguson, happening in Islamabad. People died, a rebellion against the corrupt government began and people are still being killed. Yet not a single post on my dash I see.
“I remember reading this thing that Elizabeth Taylor wrote. She had her first kiss in character. On a movie set. It really struck me. I don’t know how or why, but I had this sense that if I wasn’t really careful, that could be me. That my first kiss could be in somebody else’s clothes. And my experiences could all belong to someone else.”
